Im trying to put my microcontroller on a breadboard and i dont feel like shorting out my basic stamp. I DONT need to program it while its on the breadboard and i plan on using a voltage regulator. If anyone could just explain what pins should be connected to power/ground and how to connect the reset pin to a button. THANKS.

    Tgraz34,
This info is available on the site but here is a quick pinout.
    BS1:
Pin 1 is 5.5 to 15 volt unregulated input. Always measure the voltage of your source before you connect it.
Pin 2 is the ground or minus input.
Pin 5 is the REGULATED 5.0 volt input.
Pin 6 is the reset input. Connect a switch to ground or minus for reset.

    BS2:
Pin 24 is 5.5 to 15 volt unregulated input. Again, always check the voltage before you connect it.
Pin 21 is the REGULATED 5.0 volt input.
Pin 22 is the reset input. Connect a switch to ground or the minus input for reset.

Let us know what basic stamp you are using.

Always use a resistor on the port outputs / inputs to protect the stamp.
