Signal identification / reverse engineering for cool kids - Who stabbed the USB

I am looking for some ideas and/or objects to put together a framework for receiving, analyzing, and translating (pulse width/density, bit stream..etc) digital data during reverse engineering and prototyping. I am new to the Prop and have built similar toolkits on other platforms, but my last month of utter Prop addiction has turned one of my props into a standalone test jig for design and integration.

MarineCorpsComm - Can you please post a much shorter and simplier description of what you are trying to do.

    Thanks,

Oh Kye, the youth of today :) It took me one minute to read, but perhaps you should be coding!

    MarineCorpsComm,

Good idea, get on with it! You could also try using the mother of all F***ups method. Assume it is I2C and see if the signal makes sense, assume it is PWM and see if it makes sense go through a number of methods and compare outputs. Have tools to just monitor PWM duty cycle etc (which edge moves is not relevant as it is all relative).

And don't forget the logic analyser objects.

Oh and stop abusing your monkey!
