I recently bought a homework board to teach a young friend the 1's and 0's of computers...
You have a very good product!
Someone has done a LOT of thinking and gone to a lot work to make this product easy to use and fool proof. I've been in the computer field since the early 80's and I would say this is the BEST designed product I have ever seen! Good job!
All the trouble areas and "frustrating things" have been removed (as much as possible). Connect the serial connection and it works! Move it to another serial port and it works. No setting baud, etc. No mess no fuss! Wow!
And I've noticed little things like the stamp board/basic version·declarations go right up top to the left when clicking on·the buttons for this. (Not where the cursor happens to be.) And the spaces all the way across as you add a new line of code. You can click to the right and easily add a comment. Don't need to tab over or add spaces. They are already there. I REALLY like that!
And if you enter the wrong stamp board, this is noticed and corrected!
Anyway I am having fun with computers again, playing with the homework board. Something about connecting wires and seeing the software interact with this which makes this all so fun! (Writing business applications for a PC has been boring·for me lately. No wires! No fun!)
But most important of all, I can set up a bit of binary math (1's and 0's) using DEBUG and show my friend how this works. And then make the results of that light up LED lights and show him how that works. He will be able to see this and easily understand it. Then go on from·there to hex and 7 segment displays, etc.
So to whoever did all the work to make this product so easy to use, good job! I know·this took a LOT of work and thinking...
