Frequency Generation!

Hello Everyone!
···· I just got my new prop board and I am interested in trying to use it as a·low key Frequency Generator!
···· I'm only using the Prop Tool·for hopes of loading sample programs, and the Parallax Serial Terminal for hopes of seeing the program running! (I'm a newbee·to the propeller!)·
···· Is there any sample programs that allows the user to Enter a Frequency away form the direct multiples of the clock frequency? To run the program and listen to the new Frequency on say a Communications receiver to hear it?
···· I guess from my reading so far, it would be a PLL Generation for stability! And a Sine wave type of generation!
·Can anyone lead the way for me? Can you briefly explain the running of any possible sample programs? Thanks!

Look in the Propeller Object Exchange. There's a frequency generation object that includes a demo program with it. I believe there's also an object that produces a sine wave using the sine/cosine table built into the Prop's ROM.

Also good is the application note (AN001) on the cog counters.· Go to the main Parallax webpage and click on Downloads, then Propeller Articles, Software and Documentation·to find the application note.

Here's a simple example: Uses the ROM table, and outputs as a duty cycle on a pin (so you need a RC lowpass filter on the output pin...I'm using approx 750 ohms and 0.01 uF for a corner freq near 20kHz).
