That makes sense, that VGA is being used on new TVs.
Unfortunately, this new TV made in China does not have
a VGA port. Has anyone compared the quality of VGA with
TV composite Video? Is it worth switching to a TV with VGA?
VGA yields a much cleaner picture and more saturated colors from the Prop. Since it has a higher frequency response than NTSC video, the attainable horizontal resolution is higher, too. Plus, it doesn't have the flicker that interlaced video suffers.
The resolution on VGA can be MUCH better. The biggest resolution I have seen on any NTSC signal is generated at 720x486, and that on an SGI, not a propeller. On the propeller, VGA will go up to 1600x1200 resolution.
Comments
Must modern LCD monitors have 15pin analog VGA input.
