I need PIC16C57C interpreter firmware

Hi...
I've already received a new microcontrolle because the other is broken cry.gif ... but now i need the interpreter firmware.

It's possible have it? How to install it?

    The BASIC Stamp interpreter firmware is not available. You can only buy pre-programmed PIC16C56 and PIC16F57 chips:

    In all fairness, this is about the ONLY piece of information Parallax keeps as proprietary. Everything else -- schematics, boards, IDE, manuals, parts -- they document quite thoroughly. I mean, they've GOT to make their money from somewhere.

    Mind you, the 16C56 is quite an old design these days. Still reliable and capable though.

    For sure. It and the 16C57 are just CMOS versions of the NMOS 1656 and 1657 made by General Instruments before they spun off into Microchip. I once had a set of Sears electronic bathroom scales from the mid '80s that used one of the GI 1657 chips.
