An inexpensive·starting point for a large outdoor robot, perhaps? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390155427584

Good reviews on Amazon (all priced well over $100 shipped)

Good PDF find, Mike. Looks like the rear wheels are individully motorized, that's good for robotics/differential steering. But the front wheels are simple casters, not mechanically linked to each other or the pull handle, so that's more work if you want to get an Ackerman steering linkage going. Also it looks like they cheaped out on the battery, the EBay copy says two 6V batteries, but the PDF link you showed has one 12V 4.5 AH battery and a hunk of filler foam!

Still probably worth $70 in materials alone. I'm sure one of you Propellerheads can make an outdoor GPS-enabled rover out of this!

Went ahead and ordered one................it was too good of a deal..........Thanks for the link.

Probably will try to differential drive it, like the cooler bot (big BoeBot). Hopefully the front wheels which will be the 'tail dragger wheels' will work as, if not they will need to be removed and a single tail dragger caster will have to be fabricated. Won't know till I try.

I've been wanting to build a WiFi telecommand vehicle like this one:
