what hardware would it take to do the following?
dual temperature inputs, range: 70F to 220F. example of format (150.3 or 150.31), depends on the accuracy?
collect temperature readings every 15 seconds for a total of about 160 pairs of readings.
Offload the data to a pc.
Battery powered.
Smallest package size is required.
Is the Basic Stamp the right one for the job?

Take a look @ the DS2760TC and the DS1620 just for starters.

Yes the Stamp will if set-up rite.
The relays are the easiest part of Your project. Use a Transistor to drive the relay (3904 or a 3906) a (2N2222) will also work.
