Wifly GSX

I've made a bit a progress with the Wifly GSX, but not where I want to be yet...
I have RX&TX hooked to Propeller Pins 30&31.· I can then use the Parallax Serial Terminal to give it commands and configure it.
It's very easy to connect to my unsecured wireless network (wasn't able to get it working with my protected network, but have to try that again).
Then, I can use Windows Telnet to connect to port 2000 (the default) and can then send data from the Prop to Telnet and back.· BTW:· Telnet is still included in Windows7, but like Vista, is not installed by default.
RovingNetworks also supplies TeraTerm for free, but Telnet is more straightforward...
But, what I really want to do is download web pages...· I'm not sure yet if this is going to work...· Did notice that the Wifly is running a webserver on port 80 by default.· At first, it looks as if you could configure the device with the web page it serves, but it doesn't work and the manual seems to suggest that this doesn't yet work...
Also, they show a way to update the firware via FTP, but that doesn't seem to work either, but I don't know why...· Maybe I already have the newest?· Or, maybe it just doesn't work...
I think maybe I need to shut down the internal webserver before trying to use port 80...· But, so far, I haven't been able to change ports at all...
Anyway, here's a (poor quality) photo of me sending data wirelessly from my PSB device (equiped with a Wifly) running a terminal program to my netbook running Telnet:

parse it, and show it on the screen.
But, I think I must have posted the progress in a different thread.
I'm still thinking about where to go with this as a product...· Someone pointed
out a different type with 0.1" pins for about the same price.· So,·I need to
look closer to see if making a breakout for this version of the GSX to save the
$20 for their breakout really makes any sense at all...

Of course, I was thinking "Graphical extension to CP/M"

D'oh, I suppose I need to join the 1990's one of these days
I had no idea of what a "Wifly GSX" was so I did some research.
Fascinating project! Good luck!
Thanks and have a nice day!
