I recived my education kit today, what can I say, it is put together really well; I'm very impressed. So I started slowly building it, and have nearly made to the first testing stage. Fun stuff, and just as imformative as the labs at school. I hope to be spinning around within a week or so. It really come down to my load at school.

Welcome to the propeller world! Keep at it and you will have a blast. Don't hesitate to look for help, this forum is unbelievable. I started with the Propeller in July of last year, yet already have a project that's on the homepage! (see the reverse geo-cache link in my signature)

Andy Lindsay has done an excellent job with the PE materials. I got a chance to meet him and talk with him a while on Tuesday. In a short amount of time, I found out several new things. One was that he is updating many of the online projects. Make sure you check out the PE sticky thread:

I am happy to say, that I now power circuit's installed, and tested out, the prop and eprom has been installed, and I have sucedded in downloading the led test programe for the prop. Everything has checked out with flying colors... I am very excited to begin my education with the propeller. Well, provided that my class load allows for it...lol

Believe it or not... that same joy is what brings almost everyone here. It is amazing in the beginning... and as you really get into it ... the more amazing it is. You will find yourself saying "I can't believe that they went to all of this trouble... just for me."

    Welcome aboard.

The more you learn and use the prop, the more you will envision how you will hook it up and program it for the projects you think about.
You won't even want to imagine how to do it with other controllers and processors just because you know it can be done easier and better with the prop!

Thank you all so much. I guess I am feeling that kind of joy, just last night I found myself fading into sleep thinking about the propeller, and what I wanted to learn with it.
