It's amazing how you can get people to do the things they should already do just by making them fun, instead of mundane.

Imagine if we had a contest with this as the goal? Between the Propeller and the Stamp, the possibilities are endless!

Like it. Would be fun to see the many new ideas and better yet come up with one and build it.

This is not microprocessor related, but relates to the·idea of getting people to do what they should if you make it fun or interesting. The White river in Missouri is used a lot for fishing, boating and lazy tubing. In order to·reduce the number of bottles and cans that got thrown into the river, they put up large (10' diameter) "targets" with a large hole in the center with a piece of sheet metal behind it·at several points along the river bank with signs saying: "Hit me!".

Behind the target was a large dumpster to catch the cans that hit the "bulls eye" with a satisfying metalic crash. Even the "misses" were easy to collect from the area in front of the target. The result·is that people·save their cans and bottles and throw them at the targets rather than just tossing them in the river to be swept downstream and make an unsightly mess. Recycling of the cans and bottles more than pays for the targets and cost of collection.

And yes, it would be an interesting contest.

Great find. Just watching all the videos kinda makes you want to put together something on your own.

    Inspiring...

If it isn't fun... why would anyone do it?
