Anybody make a mind-control Boe-Bot yet? smile.gif

That would be an interesting robotic event·for the Robo-Games.

Wonder how hackable the StarWars Mind Control device is?

I read something on hackaday.com that it's RS323 out and sending ASCII characters!

It was three or four values sent over and over:

    0,20,30.....10,0,30.....10,10,30....

where #1 is the meditation value, #2 was concentration and #3 was signal quality

That's how I remembered it anyways.

I was expecting something more like "Hack or Hack not - There is no try!"

@ Spiral_72 - thanks for the info. I will try googling it. That would be enough for stop and go, eh?

I am downloading the free developer tools now, next I will embed them into my cerebreal cortex.

This is a cool looking interface. The mind set head set is $199.00 US at neurosky.com. I'm thinkin one of those and a pair of xbee transceivers, and I would be good to go.

Seriously, I did just order a pair of XbeePros for remote ViewPort ect. Should be here on Monday 2/8/10. I will look at the tools available and decide from there.

My Aunt is an EKG brain-scan wizard specialist. I will ask her to look it over as well.

Was it Yuri that could bend the SPOONS?

Anyway, I got the down load, but to big to attach. But here is the FM.

Just thought I'd stir up some trouble:

Rumor has it, the headset is not sensitive to ECG at all, rather EMG!! EMG is the electrical signals sent to muscles.

I suppose that would work too I guess; If you are tense (concentrating) your forehead muscles will be contracted, and relaxed when you are meditating.

Anyways, I don't have the $200 to burn to find out for sure. It's just something to consider.

Even so, tighten the left eyebrow to turn your bot left, right for right, both for forward and relax to stop. It'd surely look like mind control!

The headset is still pretty cool. I dunno how useful it would be in reading the mind.

    Ooops. My Aunt said

The input voltage of EEG [electroencephalograms] is 50 UV (not EKG as I stated earlier)
    HFF 70UV
    LLF 1 UV

Spiral_72, I am thinking you are correct. To recieve something in the range of uV would require paste on silver electrodes with conductive gooo using differential inputs to instrumentation OpAmps with excellent noise rejection just to find the signals and you would have to sit very still so the muscle signals would not interfere with the brain signals.

I am sceptical now, but I investigate further.

I wonder if my "Lava Lamp" could control my bot....

Sorry, but this reminded me of the time traveling machine we saw in the movie "Napolean Dynamite"
