Chris Savage Article in Servo
Hey all,
Chris Savage has an article in the Feb 2010 Servo, called Base on a Budget.
It features some of Chris' early work on the the Parallax 12 volt Motor Mount and Wheel Kit prototype chassis and goes right on through to Ken's latest plywood platform kit.
The article features some great pics of the some familiar forum members' bots.
Great job Chris!

I was reading the same February issue of Servo as you and noticed Chris' article near the end of the mag. As I scanned his article I saw a picture of a very familiar rover chassis that incorporates the Parallax Motor Mount and Wheel kit. I thought to myself, someone has copied my rover design. How flattering! Then I read the text and noticed that Figure 9 is my rover!
Thank you Chris for featuring my design in your article. Much appreciated!
I have actually added a turret to the top plate of the rover that has a mechanical arm with a gripper on the end. The arm has a shoulder, elbow and a rist and is powered by small electric motors acting as servos. I plan to continue working on my rover as the weather warms up here in North Texas!
Regards,
Tom C

@ hover1, Our local bookstore stopped carrying Nuts and Volts. I subscribed today and ordered the January and February editons, which I missed!
