My CRT monitor suddenly decided to go pink. I understand this is not unusual for older monitors. A friend had a monitor he wasn't using and ended up just giving me the whole system. The monitor works great on my computer. But I found the computer worked just fine by hooking it to my old pink monitor. I had hoped to use this system in the shop but found it had only 35 meg of RAM and the system maxed out at 256 meg.Ram cards are about 6-10 dollars, but even maxed out would it run the stamp editor? I have plenty of hard drive space but the program won't install with only 32 meg.

With 256 megs of ram, you wouldn't want to run a windows platform greater than Windows 98 (Even 98 would be sluggish).

You could run a version of Linux on that amount of ram.

    basic stamp on linux

I've run the Stamp Editor on my 128 MB system running Windows XP SP3. The computer takes a few minutes to bootup, but the stamp editor runs well.

The monitor problem may actually be a problem with the video cable or connector. Try flexing the cable at both ends to see if the problem goes away or gets worse. If so you can try replacing the video cable if it is possible.
