Accessory Backpack for PSB: Wifly+Ramblade+IR+Battery+RTC+I/O...

I've been working on this all day and it's starting to take shape!
I'm pretty excited about this, so wanted to share...

This board with (hopefully) connect to the back of the PSB.

It's going to be all through-hole...·
Going to try a trick with the Wifly and solder the pads through holes in the board...

Spot for a Ramblade, and if not, then a proto area.

3 AA cell holder in the middle and 5V booster in top right.

I2C RTD DS1307 in top middle (with coin cell backup)·and I2C I/O expander next to it

Parallax IR transmitter and receiver mounts on top.

Little speaker and microphone mounts on bottom center.

Plenty of proto areas...

Cluso:· Thanks for providing the Ramblade for a very nice price!· If my understanding is right, I just need to come up with a VT100-like terminal program for the PSB and then can run huge XMM programs on the Ramblade and just use the PSB as text terminal...

Maybe I can do a terminal app with an on-screen keyboard...

I'm about to order up some prototypes... Right now, I'm torn between getting 2 without soldermask or silkscreen for $95 or getting 4 with soldermask and silkscreen for $165... If somebody is in a big hurry, I could sell one of these prototype boards, but there's good chance something will be wrong (I almost always make a mistake the first time...)

I'm not in a big hurry, really. I've got several projects going on at the same time here (making a chainmail vest, building a small deck on the steep slope of my backyard, playing with the stingray robot, about to get a new robot kit from parallax (the bigger wood platform one), the PSB I just got, building a computer for a friend, doing some drywall repair in one of my spare bedrooms, and a few other things), and I want to sort of plan when I should focus more on the PSB to make the programmable remote control thing I mentioned to you·in email. Since this accessory board seems to be designed perfectly to fit what I want to do with the PSB, I plan to use it instead of flailing around trying to connect all the bits myself. It'll let me focus more on the programming part which I am reasonably good at.
