I have a product that I want to launch soon and do not have the time to deal with the learning curve of programming the Propeller.

Please email me at donmerch@yahoo.com for details and lets discuss.

Thanks.
Don

Why don't you discuss it here in the forum? Giving some more details would possibly attract more people. What's the schedule? What's it roughly about? What's the preconditions? How do you want to pay? (Last time we had a user who offered a laser cutter ;o) Or what does the contract look like? Will the code be closed source and you want exclusive right?

Just the bunch of questions which would save some of us wasting time with PM and maybe the kind of questions which make it cheaper for you. Some might be willing to do it for just a little more than the pure fun of doing it if it sounds interesting enough. Not everybody here is programming the propeller for living ;o)

    The project involves the following:

Reading serial data @ 9600 baud.
Displaying the data on a 4x20 LCD
Datalogging the data on a USB memory stick.
Real time clock to time / date stamp the data.

Menu operation on the LCD with a 4 way push button input.

    The schedule is as follows:

    Working prototype by March 15th.
    Finished product by March 31st.

I can do all the circuit board design and mechanical layout and assembly.

I know there are objects already avaialable for all these features. I just don't understand how to put all the software together.

What I would really like is some 1 on 1 either via phone or Skype or in-person if you don't live too far from Freeport, IL (Rockford, IL) with someone willing to help.

USB memory stick ... you mean with some extra hardware? The parallax data-logger? Or do you think you can do that with the prop alone?

That will only keep a pro busy for a few days ;o)

@MagIO2- Yes the parallax data logger if it will be able to write fast enough to keep up with the data. Otherwise I would use some other memory internally and then through a menu function download data to a USB memory stick

I wish a "pro" would take on this task for me. I know it won't take anyone too long that is overly familiar with this. Again I am willing to pay someone for their time.

The Propeller won't be able to write to a USB memory stick, unless you use a Vinculum chip.

    Leon,

Understood. I would use the Parallax Datalogger product if that would work.

There are USB sticks that have an SD or microSD slot. Isn't that a possible solution? You write to the SD card with some MB/sec write-speed and when you want to read stuff into a PC you put the card into the USB stick.

Why do you want to use a propeller? Is it precondition? Is it by free choice?
