Please Help! my Boe-Bot ir sensors will not work not matter what i try. I know i have it wired correctly from the book, but it still will not work. Power goes to their led, but the sensor will not identify it, or both my ir leds are broken.

First this is to check the IR LED's and see if they are turning on. You can do this by using a digital camera, web cam, or a camera on your phone. You should see a pink or purple flashes in the view finder. If you you don't see this then double check your wiring to the IR LED's. If this checks out fine then you need to double check your program.

Hope this helps out a bit.

Remember that the IR sensors will only respond to modulated IR (at around 38KHz) which is why FREQOUT is used to drive the IR LEDs. If you haven't, read the tutorial "IR Remote for the BoeBot Robot".

You should be able to use the same resistors for both red and IR LEDs. Perhaps you wired the IR LEDs backwards?
