Boe-bot stamps keep breaking
Hello all,
At our school we use the boe-bot to create projects, we have both Java and Basic chipsets. Now the Java chipsets are often breaking down, unable to program with the error: "Serial timeout 0022". It is impossible to get these chips working again, recently a few have been broken without any warning or visible defects, and it's getting pretty expensive to keep replacing them! We use all USB connections, not the RS232.
·
Is it possible to reprogram the bootloader on these chips because they might be corrupt, or is there any other way to debug the chips, we have various electronical equipment (voltmeters, oscilloscope etc).
·
Thanks!

The problem is that the download protocols are very timing sensitive and the default settings for Windows are sometimes "on the edge".
