multiple ADCs on one BS2?

I've got a BS2 circuit that uses an ADC0831. I use one output pin for clock and one for CS. Is it ok to put another ADC in the circuit that shares these two pins provided I only read one at a time?

No. You need a separate CS connection (to an unique I/O pin) for each ADC0831. Several ADC0831 devices can share one input pin (DO) and one clock pin (CLK).

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate the information.

One other option would be to use something like the ADC 0834. This chip has 4 single ended inputs.

Thanks, that's a good point---I had not thought of that. For my particular issue, it's easier to do 2 ADCs because I'm adding a remote at the end of a long cord, and it's easier to keep all the new components in the remote.
