Hello everyone, I recently registered on the forum, I wanted to show you a preview of my propeller demo board, as soon will complete the documentation, I will insert on the forum, the entire description including·schematic diagrams, and PCBs.
Thank you, no is a connector for add-on expansion cards, in that connector you have available the most from 0 to 11 of the propeller pins as the gnd and 3,3 volts.
Just for clarity, does it use the pins the same way to be compatible with Parallax demo board?
If not, it could be confusing because people often post code for these Propeller Configurations:
Demo board, Hybrid board, and Hydra board. (I'm not talking about trademarks, just compatibility terminology.)
For example, I usually wire my Proto Boards in Demo Board compatible configuration,
but my first Propeller was a Hydra Board.
I used the same pin configuration of the Parallax demo board, so as to make it compatible with it. Connector D-Sub and one more thing, but the pin P0-P7 and outside them are the same as the demo board. I added 4 more pins, and two for power, useful for example to drive LEDs.
A short put on the forum all the technical details, diagrams + PCB, so as to eliminate any doubt.
I would like to share this project with all users of the forum. Making available the schematic and the board designed with eagle 5.6 software, then produce two new versions of the board, I developing some interesting applications for programming the robot.
Comments
Looks like a 15 way normal density D connector in the middle... for a joystick?
Cheers
