USB to Serial
I just bought a HomeWork Board and neither of my computers will recognize the board.· The board has a serial connector and my PCs have only USB ports.· One PC is running Windows XP and the other Vista.· Both look for a driver which is not found on the CD or the internet.·· I downloaded Basic Stamp Editor 2.4.2 which supposedly has USB drivers.
The serial cable came with the board so it's not likely a NULL cable.· The USB/serial converter is new and did not come with any drivers.·
Any ideas?

Reportedly, you need the FTDI drivers to try to make it work. Although my four-year-old ATEN cable works flawlessly on XP and Vista with just the drivers that came on the CD.

Says it works with works with Vista on down. It did not say Windows 7 but I am sure it would work there as well.
It's RS232 compliant.
