Afternoon all,

Whats the symbol in this equation mean?· The one after the "b" and the minus.

    Using 'y' as 'that symbol' (incidentally, 'that symbol' looks to be the Greek letter gamma in lower case)...

    The y(T,RH) is meant to be treated as the result of a particular function (calculation) involving T (temperature) and RH (relative humidity).

    The calculation ifof y(T,RH) is presented as the next formula on that wikipedia page.

    It means "function of T and RH". The next line explains exactly what the function is. You plug T and RH into the second formula and then plug the result back into the first formula.
