ultrasound sensor that went bad

I have had this ultrasound sensor that had a capacitor explode. one thing i was wondering if it was useable without all the circiutry and just using the 2 microphones(dont know if that is what they are yet, but they are the 2 big silver things on the board) i want to point the 2 cylinders in opposite directions and then some how interface them with the prop, the only thing i dont know is if its even possible to use them without the circuitry, if it is possible can the prop handle it?

    No

First of all, you're not saying anything about what kind of ultrasound sensor you're talking about. That makes it impossible to say much about it. The transducers (the silver things) require driver circuitry for transmitting and amplifiers/detectors for receiving. The Prop can't do that by itself. Do a Google search for "ultrasonic distance circuit" and you'll get several possible driver/detector circuits.
