IN3 is stuck

When i program my basic stamp to use IN3 it will stay on 1, i changed the code to IN2 and it worked, then IN4, worked, back to IN3 and it stuck on 1 again. confused.gifconfused.gif

    Maybe you did something to (whacked) that pin?

    (Maybe it's goofy bud?)

    What type of circuit did you have connected I/O pin 3?·

    "Stuff happens".

    If you accidently blew output pin 3·via short circuit or such, it may still function as an input. If you can use it as an input, you're not stuck with a 15-pin Stamp. Test it and see.

    I had a push button on it. I have the Home Work board. Disconnected the battery, plugged it in the next day, and that was what happened. It did get moved a little while disconnected. Think it got shorted then or something like that happened. It controls a LED just fine, ON when it is set to, OFF when it was supposed to.
