Hi All,
Wonder if Propeller II will provide genuine PAL output and not some re-hacked NTSC standard that does get close but not close enough if you want to feed this in to the PAL Genuine only chain. Is sure brilliant that 90% of recent consumer Televisions switch and do a best match approach to this problem, most will even provide Colour, that is all down to the circuits employed within the end consumer units and not the current Propeller Chip. Try telling your Granny that not possible to reprogramme her heart monitoring equipment, as not possible to see colour on your 1980's colour television.
I would love to see the next generation of the Chip really addressing this problem, even seeing this as an issue for those in Europe·would be A great start and I'd guess a major "commercial push" for·Parallax,·could even use the label "We do real PAL inside"
Regards
Mike.

PAL works fine for me - better than NTSC. But that may be because (being in Australia) my equipment is PAL equipment with NTSC support (rather than NTSC with PAL support, if you see what I mean).
I've not heard of anyone having problem with colour on PAL. What is your hardware, and what Prop video drivers are you trying to use? I'm sure someone on the forum will be able to help you sort it out.
Ross.
