Here is my problem I am cutting hobby wood with a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel and it keeps giving a slanted edged and it getting hard to cut out holes and squares in the middle of a piece of wood. All so I am not get a very accurate cuts. I am off like half an inch or so. My question is there any addons for a Dremel tool were it could be turned into a milling machine or is there any cheep milling tools that are like under $200? I don't need it to be automatic or any fancy thing like that since I am still an amateur. I am not wanting to go over $200.

Thank you

Drill like the Dremel aren't designed for the sideways load that you get when milling, although the forces won't be all that great with wood. The cutter is likely to come out of the chuck, which is rather dangerous. A bandsaw should do what you want.

For square holes a band saw wont cut it...LOL as you need the saw blade to be in a hole, not a through cut; what would work well for this application is a scroll saw, you can unhook the blade and feed it through a starter hole and cut the shape you need then take the blade out.

Amazing tool that will meet your objective: Dremel scroll saw! You can take the blade off and feed it through a hole you drilled to cut out squares.

These saws run around $200 and I find them truly effective for their cost. My kids are using it all the time to cut out shapes like you mentioned.

    Hey....that is scary....kids without fingers!!!

I'm sure you taught them scroll saw safety.

But for all honesty, a scroll saw is much safer than a band saw.
