Prop in Extreme Cold

Recently I completed a project for a local aerospace company where I was asked to design a servo control system to withstand temperatures around -55oC (-67oF). The system was cold soaked to -80oC (-112oF) for several hours and operated flawlessly receiving wireless control signals which in turn operated ballast and payload release servos and indicators.
Thought I would pass the extreme temperature info along to the forum. The Propeller which is only rated to -55oC. Nice work Parallax and Thanks. Next stop - microgravity!!!

thanks for providing this tidbit of information.
I often run things into extreme cold and I've always wondered what the impact on the Prop might be if I ever had to sink it into the deep freeze.
It's nice to know it's worth a try if I ever need a Propsicle.
thanks,
Anyone who wants to work out of spec like this should remember to thoroughly test each and every completed unit, as was done here, you can no longer rely on every device to behave the same way.
But I'm sure you all know that.
