What is the easy-est way to check to see if a USB2SER Rev A is working right

What type of micro controller is the·easy-est· to use to do this and how would you hook it up

I try to use it on a Propeller Pro-to Board and can not get it to work

So want to check and see if it working right with a Basic Stamp

Try taking a 220 ohm resistor and plugging it in between the tx and rx leads then send data out and you should see it echoed back.

One can make a null modem with a DB-9 socket.

Google "Null Modem" for explanations of how to build one.

This will be handy for testing whenever you need to.

I was able to get it to work
