Converting Hydro games into stand alone exe

Hello, I have recently bought Hydra and was wondering if it was possible to transfer my games from the hydra to a pc as a stand alone exe file. I want to put my finished games on my website (www.recesshour.com) and have all of my friends play them.

Thanks in advance,
Rockdude

If I understand your question, no, it's not possible. Hydra games require a Hydra to play them.

You could certainly host Hydra .eeprom files on your website for your friends who own Hydras.

Hi Rockdude, welcome to the community

From your website, it·seems like you're a prolific game programmer :)
keep·us up to date with·the·progress·of your game development...

good luck!

Oh thank you very much! I will try to keep everyone up to date. Its to bad that the Hydra can't convert the files though. I really wanted to put my creations up on the web.

Oh No!
I haven't updated my web pages in half their long life because they keep making everything slower and buggier and
I think that all the junky internet servers will BSoD and break the internet like all the airports recently BSoD'd for a day.

PC games are impossible to write. PC comes with no game programming language.
If you buy one you'll have to get a new computer before you finish writing any games by yourself.
Hydra is like the computer/game system I used to write a game in a day for as a teenager by myself, but faster better.
It probably would take me a few days now though. I never finished the raycaster I started, but I might just start it over.

Here is an idea for your friends.
It is possible to make your own hydra or other propeller game systems when you learn enough about the hydra.
You can use the hydra to program the eeprom chips for the other propeller game systems you can make yourself.

It depends whether you or friends have more money to buy hydras, or more free time and skill to make propeller boards.
Propeller costs $8
eeprom costs $2 or $5 or $10 depending on size and usually the 24C256 for $2 is enough for games.
keyboards and mice are free when your neighbors get viruses and throw away their PC and get a new one.
Tube TVs and used monitors are also free that way.

Forget about that for now, try all the hydra games and then try changing the games and then try making up new games.
