2 Free PCB's-All Gone
I just got in 4 prototype PCB's for a little project I've been working on. I didn't need 4, but they were pretty cheap from Sunstone. Unfortunately, my car gave up the ghost, so I just got a pretty good price on a old diesel Mercedes, but I need to do work on it before I can use it for next semester's commute. Since I don't have the time to work the Prop project, I'm giving away 2 of the PCB's, plus schematic and Eagle files.
It's a little name badge of sorts, with 64 LED's in an 8x8 matrix. Also has on-board lithium battery, either coin cell or JST connector, and on board charging via USB. Plus USB programing with an FTDI chip. You should be able to program the chip to light the LED's however you want.
Let me know if you're interested, and only ask for one if you have the ability to do surface mount PCB's. I'm only mailing you the board. You'll have to source the components. And remember, this is an unproven design, so study the schematic and PCB before proceeding.

Some neat stuff being traded or given away.
Nice layout, also.

Good luck with the project! Let us know how it turns out.
And welcome to the "old diesel Mercedes" club! I'm on my third one, an '82 240D with 240K miles on it (210K when I bought it for around $2700). They're great cars and very economical to own. If it's got a sound engine and a rust-free body, you won't be disappointed.

About the Mercedes, it actually isn't that old, but a '95 E300D. They tend to go for the same or lower price than a lot of the mid-80's MB diesels, since those have become popular with hippies. But I have one cylinder not firing and, and need it by jan 10 for a daily commuter, hence no time for this Propeller project. Two people have actually passed me and said peeyu, in response the the wake of unburnt diesel I'm leaving. Other than that, I'm very happy. My first diesel, and it's in phenomenal shape.
"Two people have actually passed me and said peeyu, in response the the wake of unburnt diesel..." I hate to say it, but don't expect that to change when you get the fifth cylinder firing — unless you switch to biodiesel. Then you'd be leaving a wake reminiscent of french fries.

Guess I better trade up my Subaru. How does that thing do in the snow? I don't see many of them where I live.

@Phil: Is it as easy to run these on Fry oils as it looks? (Mythbusters did a test running off straight oil.)
Or do you need to "process" it considerably beforehand into Biodiesel?
Owning one of those old diesel Mercedes has been a fantasy of mine for a while, but only for
use with something other than diesel. It's part of my "stick'n it to the man" dream that
includes living "off the grid" one of these days. (Maybe after the kids grow up and move out.) :)

The MB is definitely not a snow car. And its low clearance makes it unsuitable for some back country use. I've even stopped on the local Forest Service roads to shove aside fallen rocks that might otherwise have wiped out my oil pan. Ken, your Suburu would be right at home in Port Townsend, but even more so in Hood River. The Legacy wagon is far and away the car of choice here in the NW for windsurfers and other outdoor adventurists.

To use straight (filtered) fry oil, you'd need a preheater to liquefy it and probably a dual fuel system (for starting). The biodiesel that's sold around here has been treated and, I believe, mixed with regular diesel. I've never tried it though. It's a lot more expensive than diesel fuel.
