Updates Available?

Ken, Terry and Jon,
Would it be possible to schedule an update in the new year to the web site so there isn't so much out-of-date material?· Specifically:
1) The SX Chip information page, under SX Software and Documentation Downloads. The SX-Key software still has the old compiler, an old SXB.chm file and by extension the chm file does not have the new techniques allowed for in 2.00 of the compiler.
2) In the above chm file, which is dated 5/6/2008 there is an LCD sample program which is dated Jul 2006??· It has a syntax error when using the new compiler on line 229.
3) The "SX Souce Code Examples" features programs dated 2004 .... have these been updated for the 2.00 compiler?
4) I guess my main wish list is that the CHM file be updated with all of the new compiler features and that the programs compile without syntax errors.
I'm not complaining guys, just asking.

CHM files are not supported by Parallax -- the editor has a real problem with them. To that end, I'm moving the information in from the 2.0 chm to a PDF, but doing it not as a crappy printout, but a formatted book that you can print (which also means all new graphics for the higher-resolution output). This is taking a bit of time (and I'm doing it in tandem with other projects), but I think it will be worthwhile when finished. With SX/B no longer a moving target it's a bit easier to write material and lock it. I will make sure that all of the demos in the original help file are updated to 2.0 standards (not to be defensive, but the last update of the SX/B help file was not done by me so I cannot assume responsibility for problems -- I will fix them, though).

Have you considered using a Wiki? Think of it. You put the basic outline out there and the members here contribute to it. It would be better than the loose nature of the forum (however it should not REPLACE the forum), because it will be organized by topic (i.e. variables, interrupts, virtual peripherals, etc). Some wiki's actually have code in there that allows you to print the wiki in book format and can be searched. Further, you could set it up so the content is moderated.
The advantages is that when we (the SX users) whine about something missing you can tell us to write up a module, document it and submit it to the Wiki for review. Others can polish it and WHAMO! you have a manual! some that come to mind:
-- Media Wiki is the engine under Wikipedia
-- TikiWiki has a lot of features
-- Drupal would be my favorite because it can be morphed into a full content management system that could engulf the documentation, etc.
