Hello there,

We are experiencing problem after issuing the SREV command for the right wheel right after power on

The wheel start spinning at default speed for a while, then stops, go back- and forth- very quickly until our extra motor safety fuse burns out.

Leaving the SREV cmd out of the code, all other commands are executed ok and the motors are running and behaving as expected.
(different speeds and directions)

Putting this SREV cmd at later time does also fail; that is, next cmd addressing the right wheel behaves like decribed above.

The wiring seems to be correct, all motors are running CCW, when are requested to travel in the positive direction.

We donot understand why the SREV behaves this way.
Timing problem? I have already put a delay of 100ms after the SREV cmd
I cannot explain why SREV possibly corrupted, while other cmds work fine.

Other question I have , do the encoders communicate to each other?

Your help is very much appreciated

Regards,
Fred Eisen

Sounds like you have something wrong with your code. You could get someone with a basic stamp to load and test the pbasic code and see if that works.
