Propeller + PING))) Ultrasonic Senor Integration

Good evening everyone,
I recently purchased a Stingray Robot Kit from the Parallax website and I have been playing around with the assembled product for the past couple weeks. My level of expertise in programming, the Propeller platform, and robots in general is entry level.
I have mounted a Parallax PING))) sensor to the front of my Stingray (see attached photo) and I would like to try out some simple programming to have the Stingray move at a minimal rate of speed and use the PING))) sensor to avoid large objects.
If anyone is willing to assist a beginner it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
