Hello all,

This has possibly been done before, but I don't really know. I'm wanting to build a simple single board serial terminal,
similar to the propeller pockeTerm http://www.brielcomputers.com/wik/index.php?title=PockeTerm

A few changes i want to implement are having the keyboard input built into the design and _maybe_ replacing the monitor output with a serial lcd.

I'll be blunt and admit that this is going to require quite a bit of research on my part, but i might as well try.

I'm basically posting to ask if anyone has done this before. I searched the forums and google, but I couldn't find anything about using the sx as a terminal.

Any suggestions or useful links?

Thanks,
Nathan Thomas

It would be a LOT easier with a Propeller. Has been done several times...

If you want to use a serial LCD for the output, then it is probably doable on the SX, but as Bill stated...It would be alot easier with the Propeller.

P.S. Are you aware that the SX chip is in end-of-life status ?

    Yes, i'm aware.

I just have a slight need for a portable terminal and some SXs laying around.
I guess I could bum my dads prop dev board for a while if I have to.
