Hi All

You might remember my post last year.
http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=771108

This year i have done a bit better with the SX.
I have 6 - 17 channel 255 level dimmable SX powered controller boxes.

More to come.

Also check out the Tour of Lights attachment.

Merry Christmas

Lucas

UPDATE:
Thanks to parallax for making this project of the week.
In retrospect I wish I had put lots more pictures/detail in this post.
I do have a website now with more info.
http://pachristmas.com/?page_id=4

Update 2:

Well I have kept tinkering and working and came up with what I think is a cool idea.
Why not allow anybody to control my (and anybody elses) Christmas Lights directly from an Android Smartphone.

A video of my first prototype, will add video of my full house once it is setup.

All the setup info.

Lucas, Do you live in Camp Hill PA ?
That is where I live. If you need any help, please let me know.
We will check out the display. Let me know if this is your house, I'll introduce myself.

Edit: Okay I read the flyer and I see you are in Hanover. That's not too far, I'll check out the lights. What time do they start ?

    Bean.

Lights should be going from 6-10 pm everyday. (As long as the software works. If its not just knock on the door and let me know.)

Ron Duszak the main guy in the tour of lights lives in Camp Hill.
I look forward to seeing his show, that guy is definitly nuts.

In the Nashville area, about 1.5 miles from my house. Been there three times already.

Are you using a Propeller this year ?
If so, I'd be willing to write some PropBasic control code.

Use BASIC on the Propeller with the speed of assembly language.

    Hey Bean

    Nope, no propeller this year.

Honestly I have worn myself out re-inventing hardware. It was fun and I learned a ton but this year I am adding to LYNX Express controllers. There design seems rock solid and has alot of features. I do however have other ideas for 2010. Nothing to do with parallax stuff, but cool non the less. Will still throw up a post sometime around christmas.
