GPS sensor programming with C

Currentley we are trying to use·a GPS receiver in·an application for our final project at school.
As we are programming 'on' PIC - platform we are wandering if there's (more) C- sourcecode available.
The code we could find is manly ASM-code and is pretty ununderstandable and complex for us.
Could·someone please·help us out?

You will need to hook it up to a serial port on your pic. Search the sample pic code available for something about serial input. You will need to make sure that the baud rates match up (in your code and from the module). As for Parallax specifically they don't support C.
