Brushless Motor Control

Hello Folks,

I have a question in regards to the Flighttech ESC brushless motor controllers.
From my knowledge, all I have to do is send a pulse using pulsout to a brushless
speed controller to gain control of the brushless motor... (similar to DC control)·
However I am having major problems, the only thing the motor does is beep.·
Is there a different procedure one must follow to control a brushless speed controller?

Thank you

Typically the ESC wants a specific set of commands when it first comes up to reassure itself it's talking to a human and not simply reacting to noise. The documentation should detail that sequence.

Have you tried using it with an rc receiver to verify that everything works? You may have to do that first then emulate the start up with your stamp, prop, mcu, or whatever you'll be using to generate the signals.
If you can run a standard or continuous rotation servo ok and the ESC still doesn't work(with the same code) then you will need to get things up and running with a receiver first. ESC's with a lot of options can some times be a PITA when being run from something other than a radio.
