So this is the big ElektorLive weekend...

This post is a bit premature (I'm across the pond, dateline-wise), but I see that this weekend is the weekend of the·ElektorLive event.· And so I was just wondering, "What's in it for me?"· Okay, mostly kidding, but someone might have something interesting to say about the event...and here's your chance (one of them, anyway).· Event:· Elektor Live 21 November 2009:· http://www.elektorlive.nl/
In particular, aren't we due for a PropScope announcement like any day now?· The powder coat on those cases has probably fused by now.· And the boxes have arrived from Illinois ("Caution:· filling may be hot").· Also, perhaps the new Prop chip's specs will be finalized and announced around this time, or so rumor has it.· Okay, maybe I'll check back in 48 hours.
Anyway, I was skimming through the news section, and, even though it's in a foreign language for me, I was amazed at the number of cognates that allow an English native speaker to basically guess at the meaning, so much so that, by the time I'd read down to the Parallax news, I could almost read·the announcement regarding Parallax just·like it was in·my mother tongue:
[News B4 Parallax] Een kijkje in het Elektor laboratorium: "Jan Visser demonstreert prototypes van electronicaschakelingen."
[News Re Parallax] Multi-core Programming Using the Propeller: "Simultaneous processing makes embedded projects more enjoyable."
See what I mean?· You can basically tell that Parallax thinks that working on one's projects·"in bed" (embedded) is the best way to make progress.
Well, that's what I got out of it, anyway.· Ah, yes, nothing like a little humor to get·a thread started.
Oh, to beat this dead horse a bit more,·a bit further down I thought it stated, "Parallax demonstreert prototype van Propeller II CPLD FPGA," but,·when I refreshed my browser, it seems to have disappeared.··Well,·either that or I have a vivid imagination.·
*** Update *** There seems to be some developing info on this thread by MicroDirk
