BASIC Stamp Homework Board and Power Input I/O Daughterboard

Brand new to Basic Stamp and microcontrollers, working with Microcontroller kit and the BASIC Stamp HomeWork Board.
I would like to use the Power Input I/O Daughterboard, PN 28301, with this Board rather than buying another board/Stamp.
Has anyone worked out an "easy for newguys" method for this?· I suspect a pin-to-breadboard/adapter/daughterboard cable might do it - but I suspect it will take me a while to get to the point of being able to put this together without more grey hair.
Thanks!

Is your goal to have a way to use a wall wart (wall plug-in AC adapter) with the Homework board?
Are you also trying to get access to Stamp pins through the pin headers on the daughterboard?
Hate dependence on batteries.· ·Outputs look useful as well, especially using regulated 5V to unload voltage regulator.
