I got the 5mm version of the display mentioned in this thread: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=739950. Hooked it up to a Demoboad and ran the 6432 object from the obex (obex.parallax.com/objects/388/), which worked! (Thanks, fsastrom (aka Bamse)!)
I am disappointed, however, with the display's brightness or lack thereof. The green especially is hard to see in a well-lit room.
Does anyone have any suggestions to boost the brightness? In fsastrom's driver, I changed display_delay from 40_000 to 20_000 and that made it a little brighter, but not enough. Looking for other ideas now.
