Help with Scribbler

OK...I'm a total newb with Scribbler, which we're using in a programming class. I cannot for the life of me get my Scribbler to make a 90-degree turn. Should I have the right wheel and left wheel going the opposite directions at the same speed, or a different speed? I can't seem to get it right.
This should be easy for any experienced Scribblers.
Thanks for your help.

There are a couple of ways to do this. One is just stop one wheel and run the other wheel forward. Use the timer on the Motor Control box and figure (at whatever speed) how long the (non-stopped) motor needs to run to make you robot turn 90 degrees. This method will pivot the robot around the stopped wheel.
The second way is just as you said. Run the motors - one forward and the other in reverse. Again use the timer on the Motor Control box and figure (at whatever speed) how long the (non-stopped) motor needs to run to make you robot turn 90 degrees. The length of time is just trial and error and depend on your Scribbler motors and the speed you are running. This method should spin the robot in place. You can use the Pen Port to verify this. If it is not making a single point, then one motor is running a bit faster or slower at the given speed you've set. That will make the center point shift a bit.
Hope this helps. One numbskull to another.
Take a look at this thread. I was making 90 degree turns to run a maze. Check out the videos too!
