Does the smaller LCD work with the same obex code?
    How much does it cost?

    I got 6 lines of 20 characters.

I have been looking for an LCD to put in this novelty radio case and this one almost fits perfectly.

Is there a way to erase areas of the screen instead of using gr.clear? Tried a string of spaces but that didn't work.

I am trying to make a simple debugger, but with it already taking up two cogs plus another cog for FloattoString it
is becoming a resource hog for a two pin device.

I have added the code from object Numbers to handle sending integer numbers as strings I could not find that.

    Hello Peter,

    · I purchased 3 of the 128x64 Graphic LCD Display modules from www.satistronics.com·and hooked one of them up and ran your DEMO program.· But alas, nothing there?· They had a PDF datasheet on the web site, that seemed to match your pinout ... any help would be appreciated.

... Thanks in advance ... Tim

Tim, the link you supplied is malformed but nonetheless you didn't specify which display it was that you purchased. I picked one out of the site (RT12864J-1) and it clearly has nothing in common with the one that I used other than the fact that it is 128x64. Most displays use the old style parallel interface which also requires two chip selects etc whereas the JHD-529 can operate in serial mode as well as parallel mode.

But hold on, I just looked at the blue-backlight version YB12864ZB and it seems to be serial. If this is the one then make sure you connect the lines up as shown in the earlier posts otherwise you may have the wrong version.

Here is a photo of the object.· The front and back look just like yours ... I think the part number is:

··· 12864 ?· But I don't know what link I inserted in the earlier msg, but here is the correct link:

This time I got it right!

That LCD is only parallel and uses the standard KS0107. The other blue backlight version that I mentioned uses the ST7920 controller and this supports serial mode. Even if you are not sure about what controller they use there is a clue with the connections as the ST7920 uses pin 15 for PSB which is the Parallel/Serial select mode.

Oh No! I bought 3 of them!· Well ... live and learn I guess.

Do you know of a source for the correct display w/ST7920 controller?

When I get back in a couple of weeks I will code up the font routines etc and post it to the OBEX.
Just currious, I haven't been able to find the latest driver?· I ordered 5 of the displays (after ordering 3 of the wrong ones) ... and they work!

But alas, I'm not familiar with the details of the display ... and having a bit of a time adapting the demo to any usefull object.· Anyone else able to adapt this LCD object?

@Thomas, thankyou for the link ... it worked!· I got 5 of them.

Hello. I ordered this graphics module some time ago, but never got around to using it.

Suddenly, I have a perfect use for it, as it fits perfectly into a case of a project I am working on.

I have tried the code posted in the top message on the thread, and I have read the thread over and over.

I have also searched extensively in the object exchange.

Is there a better object or code out there somewhere? Thanks so much for any help you can give. I know there are a few of these floating around out there, if anyone can help.

That's news to me but ebay stuff varies. I am just confirming now with the manufacturer but you have to buy carton lots so you won't be able to get it from them but I can sell them to you if you want.

There is a smaller graphic display although the resolution is less:

    Size : 76.4 x 29.1 x 6.0
    Viewing area: 61.0 x 21.0
    Controller: SED1520

I know this is an old thread, but, I am looking for a object for a SG12232A ( 122 DOTS X 32 DOTS ) Graphic Display that uses a SED1520 controller, 8-BIT PARALLEL INTERFACE.
