Hey guys & Gals,

I picked up a small thermal printer, the "Nanoptix Spill Proof" from here:Printer

You can easily write programs and have it print a "ticket".

Simple SEROUT,PIN, 16468,/noparse] "TEXT"[/color

Insert 10 for line feed
12 for Form feed
13 for Carriage Return

It also prints WIDE, and White on black.

See my demo video here Video

That is really cool! I would like to see a debugging transcript printed out on that. Keep us updated on your experiences with it, like "How long does the ink last?".

Um...I don't want to state the obvious...its a thermal printer, there is no ink tongue.gif

Print head life expectancy: 100 km. (Of thermal paper)

I found some thermal paper at Office Max or Staples for $0.011 a foot.

Very nice, but pricey. I remember a number of thermal printers in the 1980s, like the Atari 822 printer. This sounds like something worth searching for on ebay.
