Stingray test code: LED Test, Left Motor Test, Right Motor Test missing

Just got new Stingray. Assembled it in 2 hrs flat. LED_Test.spin not found on web site but cc it from text & edited in Propeller Tool & circuit ran ok.

HOWEVER testing motors with Left_Motor_Test.spin and Right_Motor_Test.spin same story: code not on web site but this time cc from text didn't work. Have applied direct 6v to both motors and they spin both ways, so at least THEY work. Where's the code? Surely others ahead of me have tried this successfully. What am I missing?

I used direct cut and press from doc, worked for me. Here is one of the files.
Just to check the obvious - the power switch has 2 positions only the 2nd enables power to motors.

Thanks. Our files are character-for-character identical except for spacing.
Power switch is in position 2 -- power on/motors on. (Made THAT mistake early on with my Boe-Bot!)
Still no-go. Right nor Left.
Since I know the controller works w/ LED_Test and I know the motors work, maybe it's the H-bridges?

When you tested the motors did you connect to the motor pins or the wire to the controller? If directly to the motor, try connecting to the wire to the connector - i.e. unplug from the controller and connect to those pins. Also check that the pins are not bent.

After that I would talk to Parallax support, it doesn't sound like anything obvious.

I used the motor wires so they're ok.
Pins on controller socket are ok.
I'm HOPING it's a program issue...
Have emailed Parallax and await their response.

Got response from JD at Parallax. Will probably swap out boards.
