Microsoft Robotics Studio 1.5

Hi,
I am a student and i was looking for a robot for a university project. In our lab i found a #28118 Microsoft Robotics Studio Boe-Bot
www.parallax.com/StoreSearchResults/tabid/768/txtSearch/28118/List/0/SortField/4/ProductID/390/Default.aspx
which is said to work well with MRS 1.5.

I searched parallax cd but i didn't find any MRS 1.5 installer. I tried to find it through microsoft, but it's discontinued and not available for download (microsoft forum guys seem to get realy upset when somone asks for MRS 1.5 social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/roboticstroubleshooting/thread/e733e049-f95b-4154-bede-16d1f1649996 ). Same luck (or no luck) i had trying to find it over the net.

As this version of Boe is supposed to work with MRS 1.5 (as the name of the product implies) could someone here help me find it because it's CRUCIAL for my project

PS1: A rapidshare (megaupload etc..) link would be enough.
PS2: I tried to work with MRDS 2008 but the control of boe through Bluetooth seems to be impossible.

Thanking you in advance,

Paris.

In that link the op asked for 1.5 and the responder stated it was discontinued and the op should update his project and the op could email him for help. I don't see where that is upset or mean.
I also agree with the statement that you should not start a project that relies on obsolete hardware or software.

Your note is quite accepted (what is not acceptable is removing a product's support in a new version sad.gif ).

Anyway, i would really be grateful to anyone who could help.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paris.

    Hi Paris,

Unfortunately, Parallax was never able to distribute Microsoft Robotics Studio. While we had hardware that could communicate with the software, the user always needed to get MSRS from Microsoft.

When Microsoft updated MSRS, they dropped support for our hardware. It was not a decision that was made by us, but by Microsoft. I would suggest emailing the gentleman from the Microsoft forum and explain your situation, as he offered to help get you the software, he may be able to help.

    Thanks,

    Jessica

I ran into a similiar situation and I had our MSDN guy at work look at their download library and it still containted version 1.5. That was a couple of months ago and Microsoft may have dropped it but that may be one resource to look at if you can access a MSDN subscription through your school.
