Not considering the fact they are completely different how do they compare in the ammount of programing that can be done in them.

    The only ones I know who work with FPGA's are building a computer and I don't think they will mind you asking at Natami.net· They are very knowledgeable.

    The MAX II has an FPGA architecture although Altera calls it a CPLD for marketing reasons. The S3 is a lot bigger, of course. Try putting the same code into both parts, if you really want to see how they compare.
