I have checked the thread on VR Stamp here and wonder if anybody has a real and more recent experiece with VR Stamp.
Thanks for reading.

I and a couple others on this forum have experience with the VR-Stamp. I personally think its a great product. My experience with it has been very positive. It cost about $50.00 for the stamp module, but you really need the VR-Stamp development tool kit to customize a project. The tool kit with·two VR-Stamps cost about $350.00. Programming is in C language. I am not a C programmer at all, but I have been able to start with one of the sample programs that ships with the toolkit and customize it to do everything I wanted.

Parallax sells the "Say It Module" for about $80.00. It comes with 23 pre-programmed·speaker independent commands and 32 user defined speaker dependent·commands with a PC based GUI for programming. I have not used the "Say It Module", but I suspect its equipped with the same Sensory device as the VR-Stamp, even though no one here has confirmed that.

I have a project working on a breadboard using the VR Stamp now.· My experience is also positive, in part due to some timely help from LilDi.

My only issues have been with usage of short words.· I tried to create a vocabulary of digits so the user could enter numbers directly, but this did not work well.· It consistently recognized "six" whenever I said "eight".· After contacting Sensory support, they said this is a·very difficult scenario for speech recognition (short single words) and many people have reported similar things with different combinations of digits.· · I had to go another route, but if you choose the words wisely, it works fine.

Can you tell us more about what you want to know?

Many thanks for all the replies.·It seems that there is only one VR chip on the market.
The Parallax version looks OK but I need ·to see if I can get away with limited vocabulary.
On first glance the development software is very rudimentary and without on line help.
But it does not cost $350!
The main concern is the alleged difficulty in distinquishimg· between numbers 6 and 8.
But I'll give it a shot.
    Thanks agan

I have counted required words for my project and it will fit into Parallax Say it module.
I am not sure where I get the Say it software. The manual makes it look like it is a part of another Paralax product.
I am sure Parallax will help with this.
Right now I have OEM board with BS2e.
