VHDL Toutorial/Book Sugestion

I want to learn VHDL. I have a Max II Micro Dev Kit and now I am looking for good tutorials or books to learn.

I have a budget of $125 CAN to spend(shipping included) any suggestions?

In the thread a while back re PSoC's and CPLD's etc(*) there's a few links to some online resources... a few of these 'free' tutorials are pretty good. The Amazon books are expensive
with mixed reviews.

(*) both forms of search here don't seem to be working ... annoying...

I read this book recently http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Design-VHDL-Embedded-Approach/dp/0123695287/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256699787&sr=8-5 , it was pretty good for a foundation of the ideas needed to design in addition to the basic syntax. It has a little more of a focus on the applications of fpga's than you would like if you are using a cpld.

IIRC Digilent www.digilentinc.com have 2 books, one VHDL and one Verilog. Reviews seemed OK. There is a link there to the writers website for more info. The books also come with hardware kits although IIRC they were Xilinx Spartan 3.
