I have started to work with a TCS230-DB and a Basic Stamp HomeWork ( Using a·DB Expander)·and I have troubles·with the·Sensor's LEDs. They do not turn on. I·have·downloaded·a program, to· extract color data from the TCS230-DB via the DB-Expander,··from paralax.com, and it seems to work but the LEDs do not ligt. I suppose that I have not wired the circuit correctly. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Be sure to provide +5V to both the +5V and Vdd pins. Just supplying it to Vdd will not be enough.

    Thank you Phil,
It works! but they are blinking, does it have to do with the voltage. The batery is 9 volts. Do I have to use a resistor?
    Thank you!

Depending on your program, the LEDs won't be on all the time — only when they're taking a reading. So the behavior you see is probably normal.

Regarding the voltage, the 9V battery is regulated on the Homework board to 5V. I assume (hope) you're feeding +5V (i.e. Vdd) to the sensor board, as I instructed above, not Vin. Correct?

Correct! Thanks very much. I will check the program.
