Clearance shelf addicts unite! (latest score: 512MB SD Card for 50 cents)

I have recently become addicted to the clearance shelves at WalMart and cannot pass through a store without checking the few areas where the shelves are located. The best find so far is my Moultrie 2" video display for $13 (reg price $50).

Anyhow, while on a mission the other day for my daughter's costume (Statue of Liberty this year, was the Liberty Bell last year...can you guess my daughter's name?) I came across something on the clearance shelf for 50 cents. It was a "Jonas Brothers Digital Blue Music Mix Clip" meant for use with one of Disney's music players. It appeared to be a standard SD card so for 50 cents I had to know what size it was. Sure enough, it is a standard 512MB SD card. Will work great with the Propeller

JoAnns Fabric stores also has some good deals on things that you may not expect. I recently bought two of these cases by Plano marketed as craft storage because the same thing as tackle boxes or regular storage cost a lot more at Walmart, Sprotsmans Warehouse, etc. They had them on sale at 50% two weekends ago. I bought two of them and most of my Parallax toys fit nicely in them.

Anyone else addicted to clearance shelves at a particular local store?

Be sure to reformat the music flash chip in your Digital Camera before using it in a PC.
BIG ENTERTAINMENT digital media contains Malware.
DRM viruses can disable disc drives. (see SONY ROOTKIT...they lost the worldwide lawsuits but still distribute viruses. )

My new Canon T1i can perform low level formats on SD cards so it's clean, I never even checked the original files on a PC, just used the camera. Thanks for the heads up though!

I'll say! I hit the electronics clearence section every time I have the chance! Thanks for the SD card tip. Is it legal to distribute Malware on SD's that you pay for? Are you sure it just isn't Adware?

I always scan cards from questionable sources with my iMac and erase any content I find before sticking it into a PC.

Phil, that's a wise precaution. The utter gall of some companies is only exceeded by their arrogance and stupidity.
